COACHES
With over two decades of experience in Muay Thai and an unwavering dedication to the sport, Coach Chad Mueller has built Maryville Muay Thai into one of the most respected Muay Thai gyms in the country. Chad’s journey began as a fighter with an impressive amateur record of 18-2, which later extended into a professional career with an undefeated 2-0 record. He also represented Team USA Muay Thai, and as a Team USA Kickboxing coach, he guided fighters to national and international success.
Chad’s career took him to Thailand, where he trained and competed, fostering his deep respect and love for the Thai culture and the sport’s tradition.
Since an injury led him to retire from active fighting, Chad has devoted himself to coaching and building a community of fighters. Under his guidance, Maryville Muay Thai has grown from a local gym to a thriving hub of combat sports, sending athletes to train and compete internationally. Known for his hands-on coaching style, Chad emphasizes both the technical and mental aspects of Muay Thai, helping students find confidence, discipline, and purpose in the art.
Chad’s dedication goes beyond training; he actively promotes Muay Thai in the U.S. through the Stand Up Fight Series, a professional Muay Thai and kickboxing fight show he founded to give fighters a platform and bring world-class combat sports to the Midwest. Additionally, he introduced IKF-PKB No knockout tournaments to the area, fostering grassroots growth and encouraging new fighters to step into the ring.
With a unique culture and a track record of producing top-tier athletes, Coach Chad Mueller and Maryville Muay Thai continue to inspire a new generation of fighters to strive for greatness.
